Macular Degeneration

At Andrew & Rogers Optometrists we have a special interest in macular degeneration.

We utilise high definition colour retinal photography to assess your risk of developing problems with your vision. We use algorithms to calculate the best way of reducing this risk, which is done through monitoring your progress, offering nutritional advice, or by taking supplements.

If you are over 50 and have a family history of macular degeneration, or you are a smoker/ex-smoker, then book an appointment with us to see one of our Optometrists to ask about our recommendations for reducing your risk of developing macular problems in the future. On some occasions, referral to an eye doctor is necessary which we will be more than happy to arrange for you.
